BMA Biomedicals is a Swiss manufacturer of immunological reagents, active worldwide since 1989
At BMA, teamwork is at the heart of everything we do, ensuring collaboration and innovation. We are committed to reliability, prioritizing quality in all our products and services, and maintaining the highest standards to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Our story
Founded in the late 1980s by a group of immunologists, our main area of activity is the development, production, and commercialization of antibodies. In 2005, BMA was acquired by Chemoforma AG, a long-standing business partner active in the production of immune-supporting feed additives. In 2013, BMA has expanded its product portfolio by integrating the comprehensive range of antibodies and ELISA kits from Peninsula Laboratories International, Inc. (PLII), offering researchers a broader selection of tools.
Our know-how and products
We specialize in developing and producing innovative immunoassays, as well as generating monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies used in immunological techniques for in vitro research purposes.
In the past, we have adapted the production of our monoclonal antibodies to culture media free of fetal calf serum. This not only represents an important ethical contribution to sustainability and animal welfare, but the use of FCS-free culture media also offers scientific advantages, such as increased experimental reproducibility, elimination of the risk of contamination by animal viruses and bacteria, and thus more consistent performance.
All products are entirely manufactured in Switzerland, ensuring the highest standards of quality, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
